He graduated from Haverford College with a degree in Math and eventually found himself in graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He now works as a software programmer at a company in Chapel Hill that manages data and performs statistical analysis for drug trials. Dave runs the ushers for the 9 am service at the Chapel of the Cross and serves on the committee for the scout troop at the church.

The Couple

The Story

Dave lived in Chapel Hill/Carrboro and became friends with Stacey through church. Coincidentally, Theresa and Stacey were sorority sisters at Sewanee. They reconnected when Theresa moved to Chapel Hill and ended up at the church because of the great choir. One morning in the church dining room, Stacey was standing and talking to Dave and introduced him to Theresa. They talked a little on Sunday mornings over the next few weeks, and then Dave asked for Theresa’s email address. They emailed for a couple of weeks and then Dave asked Theresa out to dinner… at which they spent six hours talking…

Thank goodness Theresa started singing in Episcopal Church choirs in college!
