The first Baltimore Area Council “Law Enforcement Day” patch was issued in 1968; the event was held again the following year, and then continued every other year through at least 1987. In 1979 the name changed to “Law Awareness Day”. The 1985 event was co-sponsored with the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland (hence the “GSCM” designation on the patch).

The patches from 1971, 1973, 1975, and 1977 match the shape and general design of other Baltimore Area Council event issues from the same year. Many Law Day patch designs were repeated; 1981, 1983, and 1985 feature the same badge on round patches, and the 1977 and 1987 patches also use the same design.

I do not know of any patches from Law Day events prior to 1968 or after 1987.
