Harford Icicle 1985

This is the first patch I designed, for the 1985 Harford District Icicle. I could clearly see the stars and the color scheme in my head, and it was just a matter of getting it down on paper and having it approved.

The “75th” was added by the district activities committee. The outline of Harford County was on all district activity patches during the 1984–85 program year. I submitted a similar design without the county outline that was used on the mugs.

I turned in only an enlarged (six-inch) version of the image, and my original artwork was dated 1984 instead of 1985. This was fixed for the patch, but one order of mugs arrived with the wrong date.

Of course, that patch was issued a mere two years before I was born.
