Fall Fellowship 1989

The 1989 Fall Fellowship patch is a variation on the Spring Fellowship patch from earlier that year. The theme of “Build Upon the Fire of Cheerfulness” connects with the theme from the spring; a Vigil arrow was added since Nentico awards the Vigil Honor at the Fall Fellowship.

This time, the manufacturer managed not to include the stitching guide lines for the eagle.

Originally, I submitted a design with a dark green background and a theme of “The Outdoor Tradition”. The Executive Committee wanted the theme to relate more closely to the theme from the Spring and preferred the blue background. I actually wanted to use the dark green to test the color combination before proposing it for the 70th anniversary. While it was not used here, it did end up on the 1992 flap and fellowship patches.
